Airline service to link communities, says Link PNG

LINK PNG will start flights to Tufi in Oro from Wednesday.
A company statement said the flights would connect Tufi with Port Moresby and Popondetta.
“The airline seeks to link the surrounding communities of Tufi to the capital of Oro province, Popondetta and Port Moresby, aiding the movement of public servants and bringing in much needed necessities in terms of health, education and infrastructure materials to drive the governments’ agenda on delivery of services to the wider rural community,” it said.
“Link PNG notes that Tufi is home to the world renowned Tufi Resort which is famous especially for diving.
“Link PNG thanks the Tufi Resort for many years of maintaining and even upgrading the Tufi airport which has now allowed Link PNG to commence services.
“Link PNG and parent company Air Niugini appreciate the efforts of the Oro government, local level governments, Governor and local MP for their assistance in getting this air service running.”
