Airline’s subsidiary partners with Hevilift

Air Niugini Cargo Ltd has partnered Hevilift Ltd to use a Hevilift converted ATR-42 freighter aircraft, with the sigining of memorandum-of-understanding recently.
ANGCL’s general manager Gus Kraus said the agreement had been in the making for several months. It paves the way for a joint partnership between Hevilift and ANGCL on the use and operation of the freighter aircraft.
“ Our board was given approval last year to source a freighter and we see that the joint partnership with Hevilift is the way forward,” Kraus said
Air Niugini’s acting chief executive officer Tahawar Durrani commended the joint venture.
“The best and most effective way forward was to jointly enter into this agreement.”
