Allan issues demand for annual reports

AGRICULTURE Minister Benny Allan has directed all commodity boards to furnish their annual reports by the end of this month.
He said the reports should be tabled in in the next sitting of Parliament.
The nine commodity boards are:

  • Coffee Industry Corporation;
  • Oil Palm Industry Corporation;
  • Cocoa;
  • Rubber;
  • Kokonas Industry Koporesen;
  • Spice;
  • Livestock Development Corporation;
  • Fresh Produce Development Agency; and
  • National Agriculture Quarantine Inspection Authority.

“I’ve given them two months to furnish these reports and it (deadline) will be up by the end of this month,” Allan said.
“These are the commodity boards that have been tasked to furnish their annual reports. None of them has submitted these reports, which are important and they need to work on them immediately.
“They have to furnish the 2017 reports and all the outstanding ones, including 2015 and 2016 reports.
“The deadline is end of this month.”
