THE newly amended National Procurement Act (NPA) has significant changes, including the creation of new sections and provisions, National Procurement Commission chief executive officer Simon Bole says.
Bole advised the provincial governments, district development authorities), State agencies, procurement committees and the public on the major changes on the Finance Department-led 2021 amendment on the Act.
“The enactment of the National Procurement Act 2021 in the September sitting of Parliament has resulted in a significant change to the existing legal and administrative framework of administering and undertaking procurement of work in the country using the NPA 2018,” he said.
Bole said the existing legal and administrative framework which the commission used to establish procurement committees in the country had changed and the NPC would advise all relevant stakeholders in due course.
