THE Angau Memorial Hospital, in Lae, Morobe province, is hosting its third annual staff dedication service today.
The service is to honour current staff and those who have retired.
The events committee has planned this year’s theme on promoting personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ with a Bible text from Psalms 127:1
This event is to give health workers time to reflect and value their capability, commitment and perseverance despite the trying times they faced.
In a statement, the committee said the service would remember dedicated casual and ancillary staff who have served diligently.
The first dedication service was held in 2010 at the St Paul’s Lutheran church.
Last year the dedication service was held at the Catholic church Top Town.
This year it will be held at the Seventh-Day Adventist church.
More than 150 people are expected at the service.
A range of health checks have been planned to highlight the importance of good health for all staff.
During the week, there have been free blood pressure, eye, weight, height and diabetes checks.
The staff health checks began last Tuesday at the hospital’s training centre and ended on Thursday.
