Anglicare, partners to start project in schools

ANGLICARE PNG is joining hands with the Government and Unicef to implement the National Water, Sanitation and Hygience (Wash) Policy in selected primary schools in NCD.
The schools are the Ward Strip, Ted Diro, St John’s Tokarara, Hagara, Bomana and Boreboa.
A Wash school stakeholder induction workshop was conducted for the six pilot schools on Thursday targeting key persons like, chairpersons of the boards of management, head teachers, hygiene teachers and school inspectors.
Anglicare PNG is working the departments of Education, Health and National Planning and Monitoring to deliver the Wash Policy 2015-2013.
The critical government agencies and their senior representatives that will work in collaboration with Anglicare PNG – the national coordinator for the Wash project management unit, Department of National Planning and Monitoring, Department of Health, Department of Education and the sponsor, Unicef – were also in attendance.
