THE three established ANZ corporate centres in Papua New Guinea will feature a highly personalised service for its institutional and large corporate customer base.
ANZ country head Mark Baker said this when addressing corporate clients during the opening of the ANZ Waigani Corporate Centre in Port Moresby last week.
The opening was also witnessed by Bank of Papua New Guinea deputy governor Joe Teria.
“The purpose of opening three corporate centres in Port Moresby, Lae and Goroka is to support the business banking needs of our institutional and large corporate customers when the ANZ retail branches are transferred to Kina Bank,” he said.

Bank of Papua New Guinea deputy governor Joe Teria during the opening last week thanked ANZ for committing to serve the corporate sector in the country.

“There will be secure deposite facilities, cash and counter service, secure parking and private meeting spaces.”
Baker said there would be no changes to ANZ’s institutional and large corporate banking fees and charges when banking at the corporate centres.
Under the Network Extension Partnership (NEP) agreement signed by ANZ and Kina Bank, institutional and large corporate customers outside of the new corporate centre location would be able to use Kina branches for cash withdrawals, as well as cash and cheque deposits.
“This is an important milestone for ANZ in PNG,” Baker said.
“The investment in new facilities reflects our strong commitment to serve the banking needs of our institutional and large corporate customers going forward, this coupled with the NEP agreement with Kina will ensure minimal impact to banking services for our entire corporate customer base across Papua New Guinea as we transition retail to Kina.”
The Waigani corporate centre is at Frangipani Drive and is open from Monday to Thursday at 8.45am to 3pm and on Friday from 8.45am to 4pm.
The Lae Corporate centre is located at Nambawan Super Haus, Lae Top Town and opens at the same times.
The Goroka corporate centre will be opened in March next year.
