Apec and the future

Letters

NOW that Apec is done, it will not be surprising to hear and see strange and unexpected stories.
Apec was a fairy tale for many but the majority in the Land of the Unexpected are in total darkness as to how they would benefit from it.
The Government would pay the price of not properly disseminating information to all citizens.
Lots and lots of questions would be raised if the benefits did not trickle down to the ordinary people.
Likewise, measures must be put in place quickly to sort everything out as was done before Apec.
This will ultimately bring respect and confidence to the Government.
People are not blind anymore. They have been tricked for too long. It is a matter of attracting world media outlets now that we’re being exposed to them through Apec.
Apec and the world should know our livelihood and standing, and our struggles and our pleas should be made known to the world. The world will ultimately stand on our side. We cannot continue to suffer in silence while someone is capitalising on our pains. The untold story must be told to Papua New Guineans because it is their right to be informed. And that information will drive this country into the future.
