Apec summit applauded

Letters

IN a world of scarcity where demands exist, competition and cooperation is the way out for growth and to feed.
As a nationalist and on my positive note, I personally agree and applaud for this great meeting, the glowing Apec.
For developing nations around the world like PNG, coordination and cooperation in all sectors in both domestic and international level is a vital remedy to reduce poverty line.
In the starting of this Apec, some people are so skeptic about this event; they think it is good only for the short term benefit but could be a sunk cost in a long run.
Well, they could be right, they think this cost should be diverted to current economic issues, poor infrastructure developments, lack of underpinning schools, education, poor health services, subsidizing struggling local SMEs and to strengthen weak law and order issued in the nation.
