Appeal to fix road

Letters

THE Minj-Manda road used to be the sub national highway and was active in the early 1960s-1980s.
It served communities from Kola in Minj to the remote Djeck/Bangham – the last rest house bordering Chimbu.
This road connected the people to; Tsigmal EBC mission & primary school, Tsigmal coffee factory, Kopneng clinic, Kolamel cattle farm, Danal coffee plantation, Bekepe police station and cattle farm, Kugmal primary school, bulk stores, clinics and the Magil/Gamarr semi-coffee factory.
This road links the Kup sub-district in Chimbu.
The road is in a deteriorating stage after 30 years and needs upgrading.
The Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) church will hold a meeting in Minj, the Jiwaka head quarter in two months.
Manda SDA followers will use this road to participate in the big event.
Manda SDA pilgrimages will not always use tubes to cross the Waghi River which is very risky.
This is a disgrace to the local MP and the provincial government for not fixing such public utility.
Can the National Planning & Monitoring Department fund roads and bridges in Manda?
