Appoint professionals to public service

I URGE the Government to make appointments to all vacant executive positions already vetted under Public Services Commission mandatory shortlist of three at the earliest convenience.
The public service machinery should not be left with political cronies to run down on acting basis as seen in few departments over the past few years.
Only competent professionals will work with any government to drive the core activities of those departments rather than waiting for political cronies to empty funds without any outcomes to show for.
The onus is now on the Pangu-led government to create administrative stability as a stepping stone for good governance and accountability in the general election period and thereafter.
