The National, Monday September 30th, 2013

THE people of East Sepik  have suffered at the hands of its own politicians in the name of national politics and national development for far too long.

We have little tangible development for the past 10 years.

Wewak town has not  seen a facelift as a result of the provincial government’s initiatives in the past decade.

At this time when the process of appointing a new provincial administrator (PA) is in progress, I see this incoming PA as a beacon of hope to the people of Sepik.

He will be the one who will show them the light at end of the tunnel.

The current leadership, with due respect, lacks the vision and the drive to intorduce new reforms and initiatives to the province.

The National Executive Council (NEC) should consider appointing a person of integrity, good community standing, of sober behaviour, well-qualified with a masters degree and an experienced public servant, who is also God-fearing, for this position.

Former PAs should not be considered for the position as they have had their opportunities in the past.

Having a new PA with the above qualities mentioned, East Sepik will surely see change and development taking place.
