Armed men rob company’s Madang office

Five armed men robbed a company in Madang last Thursday, and fled before police arrived at the scene, police say.
Provincial police commander acting Supt Mazuc Rubiang said the men came through the front gate and entered the Able Computing branch office in Madang.
“They took items from a few shelves and phones from customers,” he said.
Rubiang said when police arrived at the store, the men had fled into the town.
“They mixed around with the people in town.
“When police got the tip, they rushed to the scene immediately but by then the robbers had fled,” he said.
“The police chased the suspects (who) fled into Bilia Maus Rot.”
Using footage from the closed circuit television, police managed to identify the group.
“On Friday, police raided Bilia Maus Rot in search of the suspects and found them having a party.
“When they saw the police, they fled. But police managed to recover some of the items.”
