Asa Sumba Bombers set for bemobile Cup

WHO says no, Asa Sumba that’s the catch phrase Morobeans use when they launch out to the battle field to take on their rivals.
The franchise team from Morobe province, ACTL Bombers, will be using the motto in their campaign for this year’s bemobile Cup.
“We believe in our very own local talent from Lae rugby league competition compared to other franchise clubs from other centres who are recruiting players from other teams,” Bombers veteran captain Russ Kaupa Jr.
Kaupa Jr said the players in the camp were very proud of their major sponsors ATCL, who have gone out of their way to back the franchise team from the province with a lucrative sponsorship deal.
Finishing at the bottom of the ladder last season was an encouragement for the players in the camp this year and all eyes are focused on the bemobile Cup.
Kaupa Jr said in an interview that it was new season  and every member of the team had new goals and objectives.
The ultimate goal for the side was winning most of the games to make the finals playoff.
It is huge mission for the boys in green and gold to accomplish this year, and, therefore it means commitment, dedication and discipline for the side.
The Bombers should bear in mind that they would be playing for their franchise owner Richard Williams and for the pride of Morobe.
William has already settled K90,000 as a requirement by the PNG National Rugby League (PNGNRL) to participating in this year’s bemobile Cup challenge.
“The spirit in the camp is very high we are ready to face off with SBS Muruks on May 2in Lae.”
