Assembly takes land initiative

THE Motu Koita Assembly launched the Motu Koita customary land development initiative at Vabukori village.
The initiative will provide the Motu and Koitabu people an opportunity to discuss solutions for customary land issues.
The Motu Koita lands office will be in charge of this forum and will host village consultation meetings with the customary landowners at Vabukori and other eight villages in the coming days.
Motu Koita Assembly chairman Dadi Toka Jr, who launched the initiative, said the forum would also provide the a platform for the Motu and Koitabu people to raise their concerns and work out ways to resolve their issues.
He said initiative would work to consolidate all views from the nine villages.
