Authority appoints 68 new office bearers for association

OFFICE of the Industrial Registrar declared 68 new office-bearers for the Papua New Guinea Community Health Workers Association (CHWA) in Port Moresby last week.
Department of Labour and Industrial Relations’ Office of the Industrial Registrar acting principal inspector Paul Wartovo said the office-bearers would be executives for the next two years.
Wartovo said a mini election for CHWA was conducted in December.
Wartovo said the break-up of the office-bearers are as follows:
“National executive position has five office bearers, NCD three, Central and Madang one each, Milne Bay and Gulf four, Northern seven, Morobe, Enga and West New Britian nine, West Sepik six, East Sepik three, Eastern Highlands five and Southern Highlands two,” he said.
