Authority presents vehicle to association

THE Huon Gulf Development Authority in Morobe has presented a vehicle to the Wampar Pipeline Landowners Association on Saturday to empower the group.
The vehicle’s key was presented to the association’s interim chairman Joseph Tetang by Opposition leader Patrick Pruaitch and witnessed by Huon Gulf MP Ross Seymour at Zifasing Primary School.
The presentation of vehicle is part of the launching and presentation of the incorporated land group (ILG) certificates and business certificates to six clans of Zifasing village.
Tetang, from Zifasing, expressed his gratitude to the District Development Authority.
He said it was a new chapter for the people of Wampar, in terms of the proposed Wafi-Golpu project.
“Partnerships and unity is the key to see through this upcoming development,” he said.
“For the proposed Wafi-Golpu project, it is a tough journey, but I will leave no stone unturned.
“This is a new page we a turning, and the people will receive their economic development.”
The Wampar Pipeline Landowners Association interim executives will represent the landowners of the section (ME91) of the proposed pipeline corridor of the Wafi-Golpu project in Morobe.
The 130km proposed pipeline, which will run through Wampar, will cover seven communities of 32 clans.
