THE National Fisheries Authority (NFA) has settled the K5 million payment for land in Rabual town for fisheries development, adviser Enoch Pabon says.
“The settlement concludes the purchase of three plots valued at a total K12 million,” he said.
“The payment for the outstanding K5 million was made last week in Port Moresby when NFA managing director John Kasu handed over the cheque to deputy provincial administrator Nicholas Larme.”
Pabon said the NFA, with other key Government agencies and stakeholders, should proceed other vital tasks, including the technical feasibilities and engineering designs next year.
He said the transfer deed of the title for portion 1271 would be issued to the East New Britain government at a later date after the cheque is formally cleared.
