WITH classes to begin in two weeks’ time, one of the country’s leading mobile brand retailers is doing promotions that will see customers go into a draw to win a K500 major prize.
According to Mintt, the country’s second leading mobile brand in terms of sales, customers who shop at Mintt outlets and purchase a handset to go into the draw.
Chief executive officer Damien Das told The National that there were currently two promotions taking place.
“We currently have two promotions running with Mintt and Samsung phones,” he said.
“These phones are at great prices and we are giving away a K500 prize to help pay school fees with books plus other prizes as well.
“Our Mintt phones start at K49 and help parents and children keep in contact.
“Phones can also be used to research projects on Google and provide information when learning.
“Schooling is really important for all children in PNG to further their education and improve their possibility of getting a job when they leave school.
“We want to give back to the community by helping pay for school fees or giving prizes away during our back to school promotion.”
Das said as all people now required a phone to communicate, Fone Haus, a mobile retail outlet which sells Mintt phones was providing phones at affordable prices.
He said they were also offering students who had completed their studies, jobs in their shops as sales people and cashiers so that they could continue to learn and develop on the job.
