Baki clears confusion over top cop’s post

Police Commissioner Gari Baki says Ben Neneyo should be the provincial police commander for Madang.
There is confusion over the appointment because former commander Jacob Singura is still occupying the seat.
“Neneyo was appointed from a directive by my office earlier this year,” Baki said.
Baki said Singura was given specific instructions to leave Madang and take up his new post in Chimbu.
“If he doesn’t leave, I will order the deputy commissioner to deal with him,” he said.
“No police officers should be affected by that decision because it’s affecting the PPCs and they are commissioned officers and they should conform to those directives.
“Police officers in Madang should not be confused because it has got nothing to do with them. This is for the position of the post of the PPC.”
