Bank updating system

A significant area of focus for Kina Bank has been payroll and ensuring businesses update their Bank State Branc (BSB) numbers so that employees can be paid on time, chief executive officer Greg Pawson says.
While providing an update on the bank’s services since the acquisition of ANZ’s retail, commercial and small-medium enterprises (SME) business on Sept 23, Pawson said payroll was being processed.
“There have been a number of businesses or customers who have retained the ANZ BSBs which meant their payroll is sent to ANZ and then routed back to Kina Bank,” he said.
“This adds a day or two to processing times. “We only use one BSB for payroll so the change is really easy to make. We have been working with these businesses directly to ensure the processing time is restored to normal and we are continuing our customer information campaign. We would encourage everyone to update their BSBs to Kina Bank’s BSB: 028-111.”
BSB is a six-digit number used to identify the individual branch of an Australian financial institution.
The BSB code is used in addition to the bank account number to identify the recipient of a transfer.
Pawson said the weeks since the acquisition of ANZ’s retail, commercial and SME business had been busy for the bank.
