BANK South Pacific (BSP) and Digicel have jointly launched a new short message services (SMS) that allows subscribers to top up, check bank account balances and transfer limited funds.
Topping up credit for any Digicel cell phone can be done anywhere, 24 hours a day.
The SMS banking service allows users to check their balances anytime, transfer a maximum of K500 per day and check the last three transactions in seconds.
BSP director of service channels and deputy general manager-retail Lew Kenah told reporters that running out of phone credit was a thing of the past.
“It’s convenient, easy and is available to all BSP and Digicel customers nationwide.
“Now, you have the bank in your hand making the banking service an everyday part of life for customers,” Lew said.
