Barras wrap up South China Cup series

THE Hebou Papua New Guinea Barramundis finished their Hong Kong tour by claiming the South China Cup 50-over series 2-1 despite losing the final match to Hong Kong by 110 runs in the final game of the three-match series last Thursday.
Hong Kong were bowled out for 204 in 43.2 overs thanks to an incredible innings from Babar Hayat who made more than half the Hong Kong runs by smashing 107 runs off just 102 balls.
Damien Ravu (3-48) and Charles Amini Jr, pictured, (3-52) were the pick of the PNG bowlers, taking three wickets each while Norman Vanua (2-36) and Jason Kila (1-35) picked you three wickets between them.
In reply, the Barramundis’ batting never got going, losing regular wickets to be eventually bowled out for a very disappointing 94 in only 25.2 overs. Chad Soper (24) and Tony Ura (22) were the only PNG batsmen to score more that 20 runs while Kinchi Shah (4-28) and Eshan Khan (3-2) picked up seven wickets between them for Hong Kong.
