THE recent distribution of relief food supplies in the  Bogia district of Madang province not fair.

The relief of food supplies have been concentrated on Iabu Local Level Government Council area only.

These are our brothers and sisters of Manam Island in the care centres on the  mainland Bogia, who were earlier affected by the Volcanic disaster.

But What about the other two LLG areas, the Almami and the Yawar on the mainland Bogia?

These two LLG areas are also severely affected by the prolonged drought. Their food garden crops has dried up, and their main water source has also dried up.

It may have been an uncoordinated relief operation carried out by unofficial people other than the official of the Madang Provincial Disaster Office.

The people of Kaian, Awar, Bosmun, Giri, Tangu, Ariango, Mekarop and Mamboan villages of the Yawar LLG council area of Bogia district are in dire need relief supplies.

The villages in the Almami LLG council areas also faced the same situation. They were over looked with relief food supplies.

This is a critical emergency situation our people are facing, and Government authority must ensure proper guidelines and coordination should apply. Public Servants should  execute  their job without fear or favour.
