Be mindful of who you vote

Letters

MANY political party leaders are talking as if they have already won seats in the national election.
Some are signing agreements about not to put up candidates against each other, hoping to get re-elected and remain in power.
Many are going around making promises for projects and launching projects.
What have they been doing for the last five years?
Papua New Guineans are not blind.
Over the last twenty years, our MPs have been receiving millions of kina in funds, only to see them coming out in the final hour trying to fool people.
PNG is in ruins and needs rebuilding.
Our leaders are pretending that our country is prospering.
The unemployment rate is increasing and cannot be controlled.
The cost of living is increasing and many families are struggling to survive.
Despite being blessed with an abundance of resources, we are still lagging behind in terms of development.
Let us be mindful of who we vote during the elections.
Let us vote leaders who fear God and put the people’s interest first.
