Be sensitive with B’ville issues

Letters

AS an observer of the reconciliation process for the implementation of the peace agreement on Bougainville, I would like to remind those involved to be sensitive when expressing remorse and saying sorry to each other for loss of lives and destruction of properties.
Never say one party or the other party was wrong in the war that brought sufferings.
The Bougainville Revolutionary Army (BRA) believed in their cause and took up arms against the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Government.
As for the Government, it had to defend the prevailing Constitution and uphold the laws of the country, and it did just that.
No past or present PNG leaders who have sworn under oath to uphold the Constitution of PNG should imply that the Government’s actions at that time were wrong or place blame on any leader.
Let the people of Bougainville decide on the price of peace to gain political dependence or greater autonomy.
