Beggars in our own land

Letters

IT saddens me when reading the front page of The National newspaper about a 15-year-old boy, Koma Tui, striding the street with bundles of peanuts in his hand just to put food on the table for his family at Christmas.
A boy of such age should be enjoying Christmas with his family, friends and peer group.
Try put yourself in Koma’s shoe.
I know many wouldn’t want, however, it’s true that there are many who are in the same shoe as Koma.
Why is this happening in PNG when we are very rich?
Who should we blame?
Even though we are blessed with a large abundance of wealth, we are still suffering.
We must not point fingers.
It’s us immediate parents and every citizen, and the Government of the day, who should be concerned about the future of this country.
