Best to put aside some money

THE free education to be introduced by the government is a relief for many parents who are struggling to send their children to schools.
In the past, parents had to dig deep into their shallow pockets to send their children to schools.
Many of our bright students were forced out of schools as their parents could not afford the school fees, thus making education only for the well-off.
However, parents must not rely too much on the government and gamble their money or savings away.
The government is introducing this policy because the election is just around the corner.
As we have seen, politics in PNG is unpredictable.
Anything can change at the eleventh hour and we must remember that the money for free education next year has not been released.
To be on the safe side, it’s best to put some money aside for your children.
