Besta Cup qualifiers challenge on

TWO new football associations will feature in the 2017 New Guinea Islands Besta Cup qualifiers next month.
The associations are Arawa from the Autonomous Region of Bougainville and Sunam from Manus.
New Guinea Islands Football Federation president Maha Wanme confirmed the two associations after PNGFA suspended Manus and Bougainville soccer associations.
“The NGI Region Besta Cup will run for five days and we are pleased to have two new associations taking part,” Wanme said.
“Their inclusion will add depth to the tournament and it is likely that we will get to see some new talents from those areas.”
Ten provisional associate member associations will also be participating in the upcoming tournament which will be staged in Kimbe from August 22-27.
Interested teams for the NGI Besta Cup said to take part are NBPOL football association, Kimbe, Sunam, Arawa while associates members will be Buluma, Buvusi, Laheri, Bialla and Kavieng.
