THE Metago Bible College outside Port Moresby is raising funds to provide electricity to the institution.

It is sending congregations to perform gospel traditional/string band dances and drama to raise funds.

They began the tour on April 20 and will end on June 10.

Tour coordinator Rev Harry Ovaea said the college under the leadership of Rev Oala Arua was looking at major challenges in terms of developing the college.

“While the other colleges have access to electricity to enable better learning for students, we are still struggling,” Ovaea said.

The group has also gone to Lalokau FM 89.1 to appeal for help and give updates on the fundraising.

“We thank God that through our prayers someone important while visiting his province’s students in the college caught our vision.  Ati Wobiro, Governor of Western and his family have invited the group to conclude the tour at their place.

“We are therefore generally appealing to business houses, individuals and extend our call to the other three Central province MPs     Daniel Mona, Ano Pala and Sir PukaTemu to come to our aid,” he said.

The college is located within the impact area of the giant LNG project besides the Lealea, Papa, Boera and Porebada communities.
