MORESBY South Blacks put on a second-half blitz to beat Central Dabaris Development 30-6 in round seven of the Southern Super League National Gaming Control Board Cup at Moresby South Stadium on Thursday.
Second-placed Blacks piled 26 points to the Dabaris’ four after the hosts led 4-2 at halftime.

However, the scoreline could have been different had it not been for the home side’s poor ball security.
Blacks fullback Junior Hoki crossed out wide to lead the visitors, who slotted a penalty goal via halfback Maun Egu. Blacks then opened the floodgates after the break with Hoki completing a hat-trick and slotted one conversion for a personal haul of 14 points.

Moresby South Blacks’ Joshua Winnie kicked two goals in the 30-6 win.

Hooker Gorden Negi returned from an ankle injury to bag a try, as did winger Henry Marai and Jeremy Luke while Joshua Winnie kicked two goals.
The Dabaris’ second-half points came via a converted try by Lega Batia.
The younger Dabaris played their hearts out in the first half, but they were stretched by the home side after the break.
Despite being pinned down for the best part of the second half, their pack were valiant against their senior opponents from the Moresby South Rugby League competition.
Blacks have a better attack and defence than most sides in the 12-team competition, giving them a superior points differential.
Meanwhile, ladder-leading Port Vipers Academy crushed Rigo Raiders 40-10 and Laumas beat Eda Bulldogs 30-16.
