Bmobile offers users mobile banking services with BSP

BMOBILE-Vodafone subscribers will now be able to bank through their handsets with Bank South Pacific offering mobile banking services through their network.
Subscribers will have to register at any BSP branch and activate and access their BSP account by dialling the short code *131#.
Deputy general-manager digital banking Nuni Kulu, pictured, reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to making financial services available for all Papua New Guineans.
“As more people become more technology-savvy, BSP continues to enhance financial services,” she said.
“We began offering the mobile banking service in 2009 to Digicel subscribers, and are now pleased to extend this service to bmobile-Vodafone users.
“This is part of our effort in ensuring that we make financial services more accessible for our customers and convenient which saves valuable time.”
BSP mobile banking enables customers to view account details on mobile phones.
Once registered, the service must be activated to access the following transactions:

  •  Balance enquiry: View your BSP account balance and view a mini-statement. If you have more than one account, you can link all your accounts to your registered mobile number;
  •  Funds transfer: Make a funds transfer from your nominated BSP account to another account with BSP or transfer funds to accounts with other banks;
  •  Top up: Pay for Easipay or mobile airtime and receive the token in an SMS to your phone.
  •  SMS alerts: Manage SMS alerts you want to receive for activity on your account, such as a salary alerts, which will advise you that your salary has been credited to your account.
  •  Bill pay: Pay your bills on time and manage your billers from a growing number of companies.
