Bmobile-tower landlords want new deal

National Capital District bmobile 4G network tower landlords are seeking to negotiate a new lease agreement with the company.
Bmobile chief executive Alhula Biyanwila, through a legal officer, said the company had no comment because the issue was an “internal matter”.
Landlords of properties at Moitaka, Morata 2, Hohola 1, Joyce Bay and 9-Mile – on which Telikom 4G network towers stand – said they have made several attempts to discuss with bmobile and Telikom but to no avail.
Spokesman Mek Onguglo said they were frustrated because despite the fact that they were the legal property owners and hold the titles, they had not been considered in the agreement made between Telikom and bmobile.
“They cannot come and set up business in our land without any payment to us, the lawful property owners,” Onguglo said.
“Bmobile should have immediately negotiated for a new lease agreement but instead went ahead to generate revenue at our expense.”
