NATIONAL Gaming Control Board through its ‘Give back’ programme has invested millions of kina in supporting social services throughout the country.
The K40,000 put towards the Junior Netball Championships was one of many sporting events that are benefitting from the programme.
The board’s chief executive officer Imelda Agon said as naming rights sponsor, the sponsorship money would go towards hosting the championships, which started on Monday and will end today.
She said her organisation believed that the sponsorship would enable Netball PNG to realise its strategic plans for 2016-2018 to empower young girls and women and build good citizens through this code.
“Sports breaks boundaries and enables young people from different walks of life to interact,” Agon said.
