THE body of a second victim of the mv Rabaul Queen disaster has been identified but her baby who she was last seen holding remains missing.
The woman has been identified as Brenda Watt, 24, from Kaut village in New Ireland province.
Lae police detective Insp Isaac Mol filed a report with the coroner at the Lae District Court yesterday, after a missing person’s report was filed by her elder sister, Carolyn Watt, a resident of Madang.
Watt and her baby, whose exact age and gender were not given, were last seen by another passenger, Carolyn Tomet, at 6.15am on Feb 2.
Watt’s body was one of four found between Northern and Milne Bay waters two days after the
ill-fated ferry sank off the Huon Peninsula.
