THE body of the Papua New Guinean student who died in a Chinese prison is expected to arrive in Port Moresby today.
Tyson Kulara, 24, from Enga, was in his second year studying accounting at the Liaoning University of Technology in China when he was arrested and detained at a prison in Dalian where he died.
His Father, Thompson Kulara, told The National they had met with officials and authorities in Dalian where his son’s body was kept and made arrangements for the body to be transported to a funeral home in Beijing in preparation for repatriation.
“The PNG Embassy has been very helpful and the local authorities here in China have been also very considerate and helpful to us,” he said in a telephone interview.
