CHAIRMAN of the Tewae-Siassi development authority (DDA) and Housing and Urbanisation Minister Dr Kobby Bomareo presented the acquittals for last year’s district support grants to the Department of Implementation and Rural Development in Port Moresby recently.
Bomareo, along with his district finance manager Marissa Kita and electoral officer Tombo Mali, presented the acquittals to department secretary Aihi Vaki.
“Providing acquittals for public funds is mandatory and people must know what is happening with their money on the ground,” Bomareo said.
The district had been consistent with its acquittals over the last five years (2017-2022) under the leadership of Bomareo.
Bomareo said he was strict when dealing with public funds, and had made sure that every expenditure was accounted for.
The acquittals contained a detailed report on the disbursement of the funds in two components; the non-discretionary and discretionary funds.
