HATS off to Peter Aitsi and Newcrest for the massive contribution made towards the socio-economic sectors of this country. It is seldom that we get returns this much from the many foreign firms operating in PNG, especially in the extractive industry.
Furthermore, Aitsi’s announcement is very heartening given the very depressing financial situation the country is in.  The country is in a recession. When you talk about benefits from foreign investment, this is it.
