WEWAK’S Boram Airport will have a new terminal, Civil Aviation Minister Seki Agisa has told Parliament.
Responding to Yangoru-Saussia MP Richard Maru, Agisa said the Government had plans for the re-development of most of the country’s airports through the Civil Aviation Development Investment Programme (Cadip).
Acknowledging the Government on work done on the runway, Maru said there were talks that Boram would not have a new terminal.
He said: “Will we get a new terminal in Wewak like others?
“What is the situation with funding?
“We can’t continue to use the tin shed at Boram.”
Agisa said: “The Government has plan and we will deliver the terminal for Boram.”
The National Airports Corporation (NAC), in a recent interview, told The National that the construction of the Boram terminal, among others, would be completed by July.
