Botched robbery

A MAN was injured when a bullet grazed his head in a botched robbery staged by at least four armed men in Lamana Hotel on Friday.
The gun-toting robbers stormed into the hotel’s reception area about 2.30pm but had to flee when armed security guards surprised them.
There appeared to be a shootout as they ran to a waiting car to make their getaway.
A man was injured in the shooting but, at press time, there was no confirmation from the police who he was.
The injured man was sent to the hospital in a Green Angel ambulance.
The security guards are believed to have also shot and punctured a tyre of the robbers’ getaway car but they still managed to escape.
At press time, comments from the police and hotel management were not available.
