PNG Air says requirements for travel to the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (Arob) have been updated and effective since last Thursday.
The airline in a statement said passengers intending to travel to Buka were no longer required to obtain a negative Coronavirus (Covid-19) test result prior to travel, however, they would need to observe public health measures that were currently in place.
“In lifting these measures, the office of the regional pandemic controller has also reinstated flights into Aropa airport, Kieta,” the airline said.
“Consequently, PNG Air has resumed our services to Kieta.
“Operating on Sundays, flight CG8820 departs Port Moresby, with stopovers in Rabaul and Buka.
“Flight CG8823 operates the return sector, also via Buka and Rabaul to Port Moresby.
“Passengers are required to fill out air passenger travel forms at the sales office, and the health declaration form upon arrival.”
