Break the silence and report sexual offences

Letters

CHILD abuse, incest and other sexual offenses committed within the family, school, workplace and community rarely gets reported to authorities for prosecution of offenders due to various factors.
The culture of silence has prevented countless number of victims to report these crimes and as a result, they suffer in silence with many side effects.
Threats, shame, fear and bribery are some of the factors that stops victims from reporting offenders.
In most instances, the offenders are not strangers to their victims.
It may not be easy to be in the shoes of those who are affected because they are traumatised and wounded.
Many wrong doers may not be prosecuted but those who are offended should not live throughout their lifetime with the effects of their trauma.
It will affect them emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually.
Seek help to be healed and restored in order to move on and succeed in life.
Everyone has a life to live.
We may not understand many things but good can surely come out from evil experiences.
Offenders may evade justice but their sin will one day catch them if they do not repent.
