Kramer Ausenco Brothers beat Moni Plus Nova 55-5 at Bava Park on Saturday to finish the season strongly in the Capital Rugby Union.
Brothers dominated all season, setting an unbeaten record to head into the finals as the form team.
Captain Ahulo Ottio commended his players’ consistency throughout the season.
“We did not take this game lightly, we treat every match as the same and I believe everyone played well for this win,” Ottio said.
“We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves, the important games are yet to come, so we must remain focused.”
Brothers got off to a fast start, with wing Dumaya Dugon scoring a try in the first eight minutes.
He scored two more tries before half-time.
Brothers appeared to score at will, with tries coming from fly-half Arthur Clement, centre Tisa Kautu and flanker Matthew Owadaba.
The half-time ended with Brothers leading 41-0.
In the second-half, Brothers picked up where they left off as they maintained their defence and attack to score three more tries.
The 70th minute saw wing John Papina scoring a consolation try which Mukes Muklas failed to convert.
“On behalf of the team, I would like to thank Kramer Ausenco, our families and fans for cheering us on throughout the season,” Ottio said.
