SOUTH Pacific Brewery and key government agencies are carrying out investigations into a beer in a green can similar to SP and sold in Port Moresby.
The brewery has published a public notice on Facebook that it was aware of lookalike products originating from Asia, being sold in the city.
The brewery asked customers for information about the product to aid its investigations.
The National Capital District Commission has issued a circular warning licensed liquor shops
not to sell counterfeit products or risk having their liquor licence revoked.
The NCDC also requests the assistance of licensed liquor shops to come forward with any information about the beer.
According to Fairdeal Liquor Group of Companies managing-director Kee Lim, counterfeit products have been brought into the country in the past and those products included toothpaste.
