BRIAN Bell chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar says the company will have a female staff population of 50 per cent nationwide within the next three years.
Mackellar said there were already a high number of females working in different positions in all their branches in the country and they plan to increase the number.
He said through their leadership programme, they encouraged females to apply and were already seeing an increase in applications from women.
“We have an ambition to ensure 50 per cent of our workforce is represented by females by 2021 through all parts of our business,” he said.
“We have a leadership programme which encourages all team members to apply who have aspirations of developing a leadership career in our business.
“To date, we have had more female attendees and graduates through that external programme than males.
“We have enjoyed a number of professional women leaders in our business through each division.”
