BRIAN Bell’s new shopping plaza in Gordon, Port Moresby, is expected to be completed in May and be opened soon afterwards, with tenants already confirming spaces.
“We have 21 individual tenancies within the shopping plaza,” Brian Bell Group chief executive officer Cameron Mackellar told The National.
“It will likely be completed in May for an official opening shortly after that.
“There will be a huge range of retail shopping on offer, including, a brand new 120 seat café to cater for everyone as well as a separate bakery within the plaza.
“Keynote, House of Gemini, PNG Gardner, Fone Haus, Trends, Trophy Haus and a host of other retailers will all be part of the new complex.
“We look forward to announcing the opening date very soon as well as rewarding our customers with new offers and specials when confirmed.”
Meanwhile, the company opened a new trade electrical store in Kimbe.
“The previous store was outdated and too small,” Mackellar said.
“We moved to a new purpose-built facility in late 2019 which provides us more than four times more retail space.
“This is great for customers as our product range has extended significantly.
“Although it’s a trade electrical store, it also has many of our Homecentre products available,
“We will look to add additional technology into this store with an electronic kiosk this year.
“This will provide customers the opportunity to browse our entire range of goods and order immediately even if the store does not carry that particular product.”
Mackellar said the Homecentre in Kokopo had been completely repainted and signed in late 2019 with the Madang and Goroka branches to be given a facelift later this year as well.

  • Ok but make sure there’s adequate parking. Parking is such a headache in this city because developers only think about allocating money making floor space within their premises but fail to consider the safety & convenience of their shoppers. There should be disabled parking as well.
