Youths prepare
OXFAM International partnered with two local NGOs to prepare youths in Eastern Highlands for the Global 20 days of activism to end violence against girls and women. Oxfam’s media officer Diane Anton said the youths were involved in the “Inap Nau, Laikim Na Lukautim Femili” (Enough Now, Love and Care for Family) campaign.
Women appeal
A WOMEN’S representative from Southern Highlands has urged authorities to rebuild the market and health centre at Nipa station.
Leonie Sende said women from the area depended on the market to sustain their livelihoods. The market was destroyed during an earthquake last year.
