Couple charged over damages
A COUPLE who were charged separately with wilful damage and unlawful wounding appeared at the Waigani Committal Court last Thursday and had their case adjourned by Magistrate Tracy Ganaii to April 23. Andrew Undi and Sindy Andrew, both from Tari-Pori in Hela, were seen at the Burns Peak Settlement at Hohola in Port Moresby and were both under the influence of alcohol when the alleged matter occurred.

Calls to identify body
POLICE in Port Moresby are calling on the public to identify the body of a young female found recently along the Magi Highway. Met Supt Perou N’dranou said the body of an unidentified woman, believed to be in her late 20s, was discovered by settlers at Dogura Beach along the Magi Highway.

Jailed for drug possession
AN alleged marijuana addict was sentenced to two months in jail last Monday, by the Mt Hagen District Court. Benjamin Paul, aged 26, of Teremanda village in Wabag, Enga, was found guilty for smoking and being in possession of marijuana rolls under the Dangerous Drug Act.
