FEMILI PNG is taking precautionary measures to continue its operation assisting survivors of family and sexual violence and child abuse with limited staff. Femili PNG’s case management centres remain open from 9am to 3.30pm. However, the non-government organisation said its services would be limited due to safety requirements during the Covid-19 state of emergency.

Police warn group
A GROUP of people engaged in illegal gambling were warned and dispersed by police at Vada Vada settlement in Port Moresby over the weekend. Police, in a statement, said this was done as part of the Covid-19 restrictive measures taken by the government to discourage people from gathering and socialising. Police said it destroyed bingo cards and the dealers chips commonly used in this illegal gambling activity.
