Dorm construction
WORK on the construction of a 64-person dormitory by local contractor Nipoku Builders at Nipa Secondary School, in Southern Highlands, is progressing. This was according to Nipa Secondary chairman Augustine Emil who added that eight male dormitories were undergoing maintenance and funding was from the earthquake reconstruction disaster funds, managed by the Works Department.

MP: Be sensitive
Communications and Information Technology Minister Timothy Masiu has urged journalists to be sensitive in their reporting. He encouraged journalists to report with care so that information got to people in a way they would understand.

MP launches office
A NEW office for the Morobe Tourism Bureau was launched by Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Emil Tammur on Friday. Morobe Governor Ginson Saonu requested that Tammur consider the Lae War Memorial Park, Lae Botanical Garden and University of Technology Habitat for tourist attractions before going out to the natural beauty of the districts.

  • SHP governor is not making fare sharing development equally to the people of SHP. He is putting up development and services in one side only in Nipa district in his place. What about Kutubu district,, Mendi town,Munihu district, imbongu, Kagua district, Erave district, Ialibu district and Pangia district, Governor, can you make it fare distribution, pls.

  • Morobe Province has a lot of unexplored sites for tourism attraction but the rightful authorities and staggnant to move around and identify the site. Morobe itself has a huge land and forest land mass that is untouched to this day that has yet to be explored. Respective members from Morobe have to find time and identify the tourists site. “Kumul blo Morobe save singaut tasol ol leader man na ol “Songang no save harim”. Morobe umi stap!
